For the best contemporary photography framing in New York, a custom white maple picture frame was chosen for 5 of Arden Surdam's artworks that make up a narrative sequence, showing an arrangement of magazines and satin burning and as well as documenting her subjects' remains. Originally born in New York, Surdam's artwork subverts the historical context of tableaux, offering a more renegade perspective to women's work and women's art. Frames and Stretchers is proud to support custom framing for this up-and-coming artist, as well as numerous projects by ABXY Gallery, founded by Allison Barker in 2015.
