Art Basel Miami Beach: Get Your Artwork Framed and Stretched Before the Show

Every December, Art Basel Miami Beach turns the city into the center of the art world. Collectors, curators, and artists from every continent descend on Miami for one of the most important weeks in contemporary art — and for many artists, it's the biggest opportunity of the year to be seen.

But there's a step that gets overlooked every single year: framing and stretching take time, and the artists who wait too long end up rushing, paying rush fees, or worse — showing up to Art Basel with work that isn't ready.

Why Framing Matters for Art Basel

At Art Basel Miami Beach, presentation is everything. A piece that isn't properly stretched, mounted, or framed can undercut months of work in the studio. Galleries and private buyers notice craftsmanship — clean corners, tight canvas tension, and a frame that complements the piece instead of competing with it.

Whether you're:

  • A Miami-based artist preparing for a booth or a gallery show,
  • An artist traveling to Miami for Art Basel and Miami Art Week,
  • Or a collector who just acquired a piece and wants it framed for display,

your artwork deserves the same level of craft that went into making it.

When Should You Send Your Artwork In?

The ideal window is early November.

Art Basel Miami Beach runs at the start of December, and quality framing and stretching simply cannot be rushed — corners need to be square, canvas needs to be evenly tensioned, and custom frame orders need time to arrive and be finished properly. Sending your piece in early November gives our team enough time to do it right, without last-minute stress on either side.

How It Works

  1. Reach out early. Tell us about your piece — size, medium, and the look you're going for (floater frame, museum mount, custom stretcher bars, etc.).
  2. Send or drop off your artwork by early November. This gives us enough time to do the work right, without rushing.
  3. We frame and stretch it to museum quality. Every piece goes through quality control before it leaves our shop.
  4. Pick up, delivery, or installation. We also offer delivery and installation during Art Basel week itself — straight to your booth, gallery, or venue in Miami — so your piece arrives ready to hang, exactly when and where you need it.

Why Artists Trust Us

With over a decade of experience and two shops — one in Miami and one in New York — we specialize in custom framing and canvas stretching built for artists who show at fairs, galleries, and exhibitions. We understand what Art Basel and Miami Art Week demand, and we build our production calendar every fall specifically around artists getting ready for December — including delivery and installation at your booth or venue during Basel week, so you can focus on your show, not logistics.

We stretch oversize pieces that most shops can't handle, using interlocking stretcher bars and fixed corner stretchers depending on what your canvas and scale require — always with even, gallery-tight tension. And every frame we build is finished to museum quality, so your artwork is presented the way collectors, curators, and buyers expect at Art Basel.

Reserve Your Spot Now

Art Basel Miami Beach fills up fast — and so does our calendar. If you're an artist planning to show work this December, don't wait until the last minute. Reach out now and plan to have your artwork with us by early November.
