Custom Frames For Scarves In New York
Framing Silk Scarf By Christian Dior
Whether a textile is created with silk, cotton, linen, or other fabrics, we have the specific framing solutions to archive and display your textile beautifully.
We often receive requests in our studio to create custom frames for scarves in New York. Recently we framed a special limited edition silk scarf by the French luxury fashion house Christian Dior.
With delicate items such as silk and textiles, our team of expert framers are trained to handle the fibers with the best conservation for your artwork in mind. We have a few different framing options that are great for compatibility with textiles, and would love to show you in our studio in The Clemente Soto Velez Culutual and Education Centere, Suite #303 in the Lower East Side, NYC!
A Maple Closed Corner Frame For Christian Dior Silk Scarf
To create one of a kind custom frames for silk scarves, one framing option that we recommend is to stretch the artwork over musuem board first, and then fit into a floater frame or closed corner frame such as above.
The benefits of stretching the textile first allows for a seamless look that showcases and preserves the artwork without any wrinkles or creases. The artwork is taken to the next level by being fitted into our maple closed corner frame, with white glass spacers that create a perfect conservation environment and shadbowbox definition for this piece.
Custom Frames For Scarves In New York
Some other options we can offer to create the best custom frames for scarves in New York is to float the artwork by sewing a series of small stitches, securing the hanging tapestry of floating artwork when the maximum surface area of the piece is desirable to show.
Many tapestries come to us with tassles, lace, or embroider details that our clients wish to have showing within the frame. We always love to work one on one with our clients to ensure you will be 100% satisfied with your design.
