At Frames & Stretchers Miami, we specialize in custom mixed-media picture framing that meets the highest standards of museum-quality preservation. Recently, our team completed a multi-piece archival framing project for a private collector in Miami.

From contemporary canvases to intricate works on paper, each artwork was framed using conservation-grade materials and techniques tailored to the specific needs of mixed media and fine art.

Park Yongjae Drawing | Matted Ash Frame with Oil & Wax Finish

Commissioned drawing by Park Yongjae, matted and framed in natural ash wood with oil and wax finish and Museum Glass at Frames & Stretchers Miami.
We framed a delicate drawing by Park Yongjae using solid ash hardwood, finished with natural oil and wax for a clean, organic aesthetic. The drawing was matted with museum board to enhance visual focus while protecting the artwork. We used Museum Glass to provide UV protection and reduce glare, making it ideal for preserving paper-based artwork over time.

Isabella Cancino’s Girl with Dog | Satin Black Maple Mixed Media Frame

Mixed media artwork Girl with Dog by Isabella Cancino, matted and custom framed in satin black maple with archival materials at Frames & Stretchers Miami.
This mixed media drawing by Isabella Cancino was custom-framed with satin black maple hardwood for bold visual contrast. Archival matting and mounting methods ensured longevity, and a custom strainer was added to reinforce the structure. Like all paper works in this project, we used museum-grade UV glass for clarity and protection.

Edgar Plans’ Lil Hero | Gallery-Style Floater Frame

Edgar Plans’ Lil Hero custom framed in a matte black floater frame at Frames & Stretchers Miami, stretched over fixed stretcher bars for a gallery-style presentation.
For Edgar Plans’ artwork Lil Hero, we stretched the canvas over fixed stretcher bars and placed it in a gallery-style floater frame with a matte black finish. This method provided both depth and visual prominence, making the small-scale canvas pop while keeping the piece secure and tensioned for long-term display.

Willem Hoeffnagel | Reframing “Let’s Just See What It Does”

Drawing by Willem Hoeffnagel, reframed in a sleek satin black maple frame with archival matting by Frames & Stretchers Miami.

A drawing by Dutch artist Willem Hoeffnagel, titled Let’s Just See What It Does (originally from Vilazan Gallery), was reframed using satin black hardwood maple to enhance the work’s presentation. We replaced the outdated frame with a modern, minimal profile that complements Hoeffnagel’s bold, expressive style.

Felix Treadwell | Archival Island Float Restoration

Felix Treadwell drawing presented with a conservation island float using mulberry paper hinges and reversible PVA glue, restored at Frames & Stretchers Miami.
A previously floated drawing by Felix Treadwell required conservation after the original mounting—done with non-archival commercial tape—began to fail. We carefully refloated the drawing using a museum-quality island float technique, secured with archival mulberry hinges and reversible PVA glue. The original frame was preserved at the client’s request, while our work focused on long-term art conservation and structural stability.

Museum-Quality Archival Framing Services in Miami

Custom museum-quality framing for artworks by Park Yongjae and Felix Treadwell at Frames & Stretchers Miami. The Park Yongjae drawing is floated in a natural ash frame, while the Felix Treadwell piece features an archival island float with black maple frame and UV-protective glazing.

At Frames & Stretchers Miami, we prioritize archival framing techniques for every project. We use:

- UV-protective Museum Glass
- Archival adhesives and mounting methods
- Custom hardwood frames
- Techniques suitable for drawings, mixed media, canvas, and contemporary art.

These methods are ideal for private art collectors, interior designers, galleries, and anyone committed to art preservation in Miami.
