If you have art, then you need our "Master Racks" fine art storage custom solutions! We can provide and install custom-built art storage to help organize and protect your art. Whether you're an artist, gallery, or serious collector, as long as you have art that needs storing, Frames and Stretchers has a solution for you.
Flat and upright storage for all of your 2D artworks
Frames and Stretchers Factory at 610 Smith Street on the border of Gowanus and Red Hook in Brooklyn is the heart of our handcrafted woodworking division. We opened this venue last spring as the space where we create our custom Legacy interlocking canvas stretchers. Since then we've continued to expand our product line to include sculpture pedestals, art shipping crates and our newest addition, art storage crates. These crates come with service that includes a visit to your art studio, gallery or home to determine your needs. Our master craftsmen will then get to work designing, milling and assembling exactly what you've specified - storage crates for all of your artworks that are not on display. Finally, our art handling team will deliver and install your new organization and storage system.

At the risk of bragging, we think our master carpenter is the best in the business! Our team works on superior milling equipment and our art handlers have delivered and installed amazing works of art from major artists like William Kentridge, Kaws, Alex Katz, and even Andy Warhol! So you know we're a team you can trust. Please feel free to contact us at any of our 3 locations: Lower East Side, Gowanus or TriBeca for a quote and to discuss your project. And don't forget, we also do superior museum quality custom framing and stretching too!
