Dislexia Geografica Opens this Year's BORIMIX at the Clemente on the LES

Join 30 plus artists this Friday for the opening of "Dislexia Geográfica / Geography of the Edge", an exhibition aiming to strengthen bonds between New York Colombians, Puerto Ricans, and their friends! "Dislexia" is the visual arts component of the 2018 BORIMIX: Puerto Rico Fest, this year celebrating its 13th edition at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Education Center on Manhattan's Lower East Side. The exhibition is curated by Miguel Trelles along with Maria Elvira Dieppa and Manuela Gonzalez and runs from November 2 - 30. An artists talk will be held on November 29 at 7 pm.

BORIMIX: Puerto Rico Fest, is an annual month-long, city-wide festival of Puerto Rican artists working in film, theatre, poetry, dance, music and the visual arts. The event hub is The Clemente at 107 Suffolk Street. This year's festivities kick off this Friday at 6:30 with COLOMBIA ! as a guest country. Highlights include:

- Short opening ceremony at Teatro SEA

- The opening of the exhibition "Dislexia Geografica" (1st and 2nd floor) 

- Live concert & dance at the Flamboyan Theater
