This week at Frames and Stretchers, we stretched a canvas of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Christina Angelina, also known as Starfighter, created the painting. Christina is based in Los Angeles although her work can be seen all over the country. Gal Gadot was also impressed with the canvas. She posted a picture of the canvas on her Instagram account with the caption: "This #WonderWoman mural from #SDCC2016 by @starfightera is unbelievable!"

The Canvas:The canvas is 90 inches x 90 inches. We custom built the stretcher and Art Delivery Van delivered it to New York Comic Con at the Jacob Javits Center. Christina Angelina was a marathon runner before she began making street art. She has several pieces around Los Angeles, and continues to paint more. Christina's artwork has a distinct style. She uses shadowing to create super realistic street art using mostly women as her subjects. Her painting of Gal Gadot falls into that style with her facial expression and eyes seeming to stare right through you. Christina used spray paint to create the Wonder Woman portrait. The canvas was also shown at San Diego Comic Con before it was shipped to us.

We are big fans of the canvas at Frames and Stretchers and proud of the work we've done. Head over to our Instagram to see more pictures and make sure you go see Wonder Woman when it comes out. Watch the trailer below.
